Axis Environments delivered a dynamic transformation of Marston Holdings’ Northern Hub, revitalising the 3rd floor of Rochdale House into a modern, efficient, and brand-aligned workspace.

Coordinated Delivery in an Occupied Building

Working within an occupied building, the team executed a tightly sequenced programme that included strip-out, new glazed partitions, bespoke joinery, resprayed ceilings, upgraded flooring, refreshed décor, and coordination around landlord-retained services. Phase 2 was delivered in close partnership with EcoClear, whose furniture installation was integrated into the construction sequence to ensure a smooth transition from build to final setup. With 96% of furniture sourced through the circular economy, including task seating and desking reused from existing Marston sites, the project avoided more than 55,628 kg of embodied carbon compared to purchasing new.

A Cohesive Workplace, Carefully Delivered

The result is a high-performing environment that elevates staff experience and supports Marston Holdings’ operational needs. Enhanced acoustic comfort, thoughtful material selections, and branded visual elements bring cohesion and clarity to the space, while rigorous QA controls, milestone inspections, and coordinated interfaces, including EcoClear’s final fit, ensured a polished and confident handover. The Northern Hub refurbishment showcases Axis Environments’ ability to manage complex constraints and deliver a cohesive, design-led commercial fit-out with precision and care.
