A global energy client sought to create a dedicated multi-faith room within their London office, providing employees with a welcoming space for prayer, reflection and quiet contemplation. The objective was to support wellbeing, inclusivity and diversity by delivering an environment that accommodated a range of faiths and personal practices while offering a calm retreat from the workplace.

Creating a Calm and Flexible Environment

We delivered a complete refurbishment of the space, centred around a warm and neutral material palette. Oak fluted timber wall panelling, wide-plank timber-effect LVT flooring and warm taupe curtain screening were introduced to create flexible prayer and reflection zones. The design focused on creating a peaceful atmosphere through the use of natural materials, soft textures and carefully considered detailing.

Thoughtful Storage and Detailing

Bespoke joinery solutions were integrated throughout the room, including dedicated prayer mat storage, shelving for multi-faith texts and display areas for decorative items. These tailored interventions ensured the space remained organised, adaptable and accessible for all users while maintaining a cohesive and timeless aesthetic.

Supporting Wellbeing and Belonging

The completed multi-faith room provides a sanctuary within the workplace, supporting moments of prayer, mindfulness and reflection. Our team delivered a considered and inclusive environment that promotes wellbeing, respect and belonging for all employees.
